Memorable teaching moments

.. "a complete luddite"?

One teacher would be happy to describe herself as a complete luddite - has never seen the point of using technology, finds herself getting frustrated very quickly and has always been very resistant to the idea of having to learn "this technology stuff" just because it's the flavour of the month.

However, this teacher is now conducting many sessions in the computer room, assisting her students with their word processing and internet searches. The big day for many of us was when she produced a CGEA task for moderation. "Who typed this for you?" she was asked. "Oh yeah, I whipped that up myself," was the declaration to a room full of astounded colleagues. The layout was impeccable - formatting and page use very professional!
